Resides in: Ohope
Moved From: Mount Maunganui
Job Title: Graphic Designer

Greg was almost a local when he lived in Mt Manganui then, attracted by the great climate, friendly people and excellent opportunities, he saw the light.

We originally owned a bach at Ohope Beach for four years before selling it. While staying there during our holidays we found the people of Ohope and Whakatane to be very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed the unique local natural environment that combined an attractive and safe swimming beach with public bush reserves that offered interesting walks.

Apart from seeing opportunities as a graphic designer we saw Whakatane as a progressive, attractive and well cared for town. It offered all the facilities and services which are found in a city, but in a more compact area. In addition Whakatane is supported by a strong agricultural sector along with forestry based industries and support services.

A further advantage was that we were able to purchase a better quality home, then we had owned at Mount Maunganui, for a similar cost.
